Following the first presidential debate on Friday, Barack Obama has taken a significant lead in the polls, especially in key battleground states like Colorado. MSNBC reports that the "New numbers from CNN/Time/Opinion Research show Obama up 51% to 45% among registered voters in Colorado, up from a 5-point deficit for the Illinois senator last month."
So why is Obama pulling so far ahead? Perhaps this is because voters generally trust Obama to handle the economic crisis that we are now facing as a nation. Whatever the reason, if McCain doesn't pick up his game, he could be facing a long, uphill battle.
